What is e-certification?
ITDA-IHMP e-certification serves two key purposes: students receive their certifications faster and fully online, and we provide a 24/7/365 verification service that lets dive operators confirm certifications and training standards against ISO/ANSI equal-level compliance. Note: this is also available as an app.
Our 3-Tier Certification Process
ITDA-IHMP offers a 3-tier process for all certification levels based on these factors:
Standards Met
Standards of training and academic knowledge are met 100%.
Skills Assessed
Skills are assessed to above industry standards.
Exam Passed
Final exam/quiz passed at 75% minimum (85% for professional levels).
When standards are not met
If our strict standards are not met, instructors have two options: remedial study or skills practice to meet the standard, or issue a lower level or "supervised" diving restriction until the diver can meet the standard for their level.
E-Certificate Samples
Each certification track uses a distinct, colour-coded e-certificate template with a verifiable QR code.
