Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the International Technical Diving Agency (ITDA-IHMP International) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our membership platform, enroll in courses, or purchase certifications. By using our services, you agree to the practices described below.

1Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, certification level, and instructor details when you register for membership or enroll in courses. We also automatically collect usage data such as your device type, browser, and interactions with our platform to improve your experience.

2How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to activate and manage your membership, process course enrollments, issue digital certifications, provide member support, and send you relevant communications about your account, courses, and diving community updates. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time.

3Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with your assigned instructors and training partners for the purpose of delivering your courses and certifications, and with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (such as payment processors). All parties are bound by confidentiality obligations.

4Public Certification Verification

When you are issued an ITDA-IHMP certification, your name and certification level are published in our public verification register so that dive centres, employers, and other third parties can confirm your qualifications. Your photograph and date of birth are also displayed, but only when you have signed the verification data consent/release form. If you have not granted consent, a name-based search will show your name and certification level only — your photo and date of birth remain private. You can grant or withdraw verification consent at any time by contacting us or through your dashboard. Granting consent enables full identity verification (photo, name, date of birth, and certification level), which is required for age-restricted certifications and for hiring dive equipment or joining guided dives. Withdrawing consent does not affect the validity of your certification, but third parties will no longer be able to verify your full identity through the public register.

5Payment Information

All payments are processed securely through our payment partner. We do not store your credit card or payment credentials on our servers. Payment details are collected and handled directly by the payment processor in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

6Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your language preferences. We also use analytics to understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some features.

7Your Rights (GDPR — EU/UK)

Under the GDPR and UK Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. Account deletion is available directly from your dashboard.

8Data Retention

We retain your membership and certification records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or certification verification requirements. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time from your dashboard.

9Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact us at admin@diveitda.com or +34 693 009 636. We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly and transparently.
