Master Scuba Diver

Diving Leadership

Master Scuba Diver

The pinnacle of recreational diving — a rating earned through experience, rescue skills, and specialist training. Not a professional certification, but a mark of true mastery.

The ITDA Master Scuba Diver rating is our highest Leadership level without being a professional instructor. It recognises divers who have built a broad foundation of experience across multiple specialties, demonstrated advanced rescue capabilities, and logged significant time underwater. Unlike a single course, Master Scuba Diver is earned by accumulating certifications and dive experience — a true achievement that sets you apart in any dive community.

Highest Non-Professional Rating

Master Scuba Diver is ITDA's highest Leadership level without becoming a professional instructor — a mark of experience, skill, and commitment to safe diving.

Recognised Worldwide

The Master Scuba Diver rating signals to dive operators worldwide that you are an experienced, well-rounded diver with advanced rescue skills and specialist training.
